About Me
I have a strong love of art and antique furniture. Scraping years of wear and tear off of a family heirloom and breathing new life into it with custom artwork gives me peace. But even better, it saves heirlooms that are precious and full of memories from the dump.
About Heirlooms
Antiquing
I started refinishing furniture 30 years ago as a hobby. I always loved old furniture and would think about the previous owners with every piece of sandpaper.
Pyrography
I started wood burning about 10 years ago. When COVID hit, I ran out of wood boards to burn, I only had some antiques that I had found outside on trash day. That's when I really started to enjoy the refinishing part of restoration.
My Projects
I began stripping down broken antiques, the ones that no one wants, and I would wood burn a story of images on that piece. For the first time, I enjoyed what I was doing so much that would loose track of time...I also ran out of room in my home. So, I began to sell them and now I am able to do it full time, I work for my self and love it!!
